George "Wes" Leroy Westcott

On Sunday, May 19, 2024, our world was rocked. George Leroy Westcott Jr., lovingly known as “Wes”, was taken from us unexpectedly in a terrible accident. Wes was born July 23, 1980, in Chester County, PA, and grew up in the Harrisburg area and settled down with his family in Dillsburg, PA. While Wes did not always have things easy in life he continued to wear his contagious smile on his face, persevere through it all and overcome any obstacle in his way. He was an incredibly hard worker and was able to build an amazing life and provide for his family.

Wes was preceded in death by his parents George Leroy Westcott Sr. and Kathleen Trego. Wes leaves behind his beloved fiancée, Justine, of 22 years, the life they built together and their two amazing children- Jaylyn and Georgie. Wes was so proud of the accomplishments Jaylyn has worked to achieve and he would light up when he spoke about her, it was amazing to watch their relationship blossom over the years. Wes and Georgie were two peas in a pod enjoying fishing, camping and hunting together. Where Wes went Georgie was right behind, ready to become an avid fisher and hunter just like his father. 

In addition to his fiancée and children, Wes leaves behind his brother Brian Westcott, nieces, nephews, sister in laws and brother in laws, cousins, and extended family, along with countless friends that have grown to become family. Nothing was more important to Wes than family whether biological or not. He would do anything for his people and was always ready to help. His unwavering support and loyalty only come along once in a lifetime and will be missed by many.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Wes at a later date that will be open to all friends and family. In lieu of flowers there has been a go fund me set up to help support Justine and the children.
