Fern E. Weaver

Fern Elizabeth Weaver, 86, of Carlisle, passed away October 23, 2026, at the Forest Park Nursing and Rehabilitation center.

Born November 15, 1939, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Eva A. (Bonawitz) Snyder and the wife of the late Robert “Bob” Weaver. She was a graduate of Upper Dauphin High School, class of 1957. She was employed at the United Telephone company as an accountant for over 40 years before retiring.

Fern was well known for sending greeting cards to the local shut-in and nursing home residents. She enjoyed boosting the spirits of those confined to their homes.

Fern is survived by her daughter, Robin L. Walker. In addition to her parents and husband, Fern is preceded in death by her siblings Marguerite I. Rowe and Warren Snyder.

A funeral service for Fern will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Hoffman Funeral and Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Rd. Carlisle, PA 17013 at 11am with a viewing beginning at 10am. Interment will immediately follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens. An evening viewing will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 6-8pm at Hoffman Funeral and Cremation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Otterbein United Methodist Church, 647 Forge Rd, Carlisle, PA 17015 or to the American Cancer Society.

The family would like to give thanks to the nurses, doctors, hospice and all support staff for ensuring Fern’s remaining days on Earth were special.
