Evelyn L. Kauffman

Evelyn L. Kauffman, 93, of Carlisle, passed away on November 5, 2025, at the Thornwald Nursing Home.

Born December 30, 1932, in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Mildred (Drexler) Ruth. She was a graduate of Shippensburg High School, class of 1950. She was employed as an administrative assistant for the Mechanicsburg Navy Depo for many years before retiring.

Surviving Evelyn is her son, Steve Kauffman; siblings, William, Mary, Martha, Margaret and Linda; Grandchildren, Anthony (Jennifer), Carson, Drew (Jane), Kaitlin (Craig); great-grandchildren, Michael and Charlotte and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gideon Kauffman; son, Clinton Kauffman; siblings, John, Janet, Emma and Susan.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at Hoffman Funeral and Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Rd. Carlisle, PA 17013 at 11am. Inurnment will immediately follow at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution in her honor may be made to Habitat for Humanity, Community Aid or to a charity of one’s choice.
