Eunice Koons

Eunice L. Koons, 85, of Mechanicsburg, passed away April 12, 2024 surrounded by family. She was born December 14, 1938 to the late Weir S. Hartman and Mary E. Hartman, originally of Lemoyne, PA. 

Family, faith and friends were very important with her primary love being a mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church for many years. She enjoyed crafting, camping and community service, specifically her involvement as Republican Committee woman for Upper Allen Township and volunteer for the Points of Light initiative during the Bush administration. 

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Gerald Koons; children, Karen Weber, Todd Weber and Wanda Cruickshanks; grandchildren, Kaylin Bickel and Jesse Julias. Stepchildren include Lisa Rynard, Lori Blann, and Brent Koons; 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister Deloris Baker of York, PA, niece Cheryl Conley and nephew David Baker.

Eunice graciously donated her body to science with the hope of finding causes, cures and treatments for diseases, particularly MS, which she lived with for decades. Per her wishes, memorial donations can be made to the Central PA Food Bank or Tunnels to Towers.
