Esther Schroll Boltz, age 99, entered the arms of Jesus, May 29th just a few weeks shy of her 100th birthday. She was a farm girl from Lancaster County who was a lover of sports, the beach, and her family. She loved her 3 children dearly and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her chicken pot pie and crunchy noodle recipes were famous among her family, and she was always ready to make it whenever asked. She loved watching sports and rarely missed a softball game or a grandchild’s sporting event. She enjoyed special visits to Colorado and Ohio to be with her daughters and their families. She loved a good hard pretzel and birch beer after a long day. She was strong yet gentle all in one and made all around her feel loved and welcomed. She lived a full life. She was blessed to celebrate 99 birthdays in this world. How beautiful and remarkable is that? Though our hearts will always ache to have her close to us earth side, we rejoice that she is healed, made whole in heaven, and reunited with her forever loved husband, Ben.
Esther is survived by her three children, Carolyn Cooke, Nancy Crowe and Bill (Kendall) Boltz, her brother Roy Schroll, Jr., as well as her 9 grandchildren, Nathaniel (Lindsey) , Rebecca, Tonya, Joel (Mandy), Shannon (Kevin), Sarina, Marisa (Brian), Billy and Natalie, and 10 great grandchildren (Zoey, Wyatt, Lucy, Ryder, Colton, Addie, May, Charlotte, Hadley and Palmer) and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ben, brothers Bud Schroll, Oliver Schroll and Bob Schroll as well as sister Viola Schroll and dear friend Fred Van Vorhees.
