Eldon E. Myers, 88, of Carlisle, died peacefully Friday, February 27, 2026 at Country Meadows of Mechanicsburg with his family by his side.
Born in Carlisle, he was the son of the late Charles and Edna (Killinger) Myers and the loving husband of 65 years to Patsy (George) Myers.
Eldon loved to hunt deer and enjoyed motorcycle rides with his brothers, especially to Skyline Drive. He liked working with his hands building things. For exercise, he walked in the mall with his friends. Then they would enjoy coffee together afterwards. He also spent a lot of time at John’s Hideaway, enjoying Nick’s delicious food along with his wife and greeting many friends.
He was an avid bowler and a Boy Scout co-leader, being involved with many Boy Scout trips.
Eldon was a loving, caring and hard-working man and instilled the practice of hard work in his children. He loved his family and spending time with family and friends. If you needed anything done, he was often the first one called and the first to respond. He spent a lot of time driving to Pittsburgh to help take care of his niece.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Gary (Cheryl) Myers, of Carlisle, Kimberly (Timothy) Burke, of Delaware, Kevin (Lori) Myers, of Carlisle; his grandchildren: Jessica (Todd) Veigle, Beau, Mandy and Cody Myers, Lauren and Brian Murphy; his nine great grandchildren as well as his siblings: Paul Myers, Charles Myers, Lester (JoAnn) Myers, Janet Lesher, Lois (Harold) Mellott and Robert (Linda) Myers.
Eldon was preceded in death by his grandson Jonathan and seven siblings.
