E. Richard “Dick” Eberts, 92, of Carlisle, died Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Cumberland Crossings. Born March 1, 1932 in Carlisle, he was the son of the late J.C. and Ruth (Zook) Eberts and was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years Nancy (Strasbaugh) Eberts. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Edward Eberts of Carlisle. 

Dick owned and operated Eberts Paints and Wallcoverings as well six other paint stores in central Pennsylvania before his retirement in 2000. He was the owner of Pine Haven Farm where he raised registered Suffolk sheep, farm crops and Christmas trees. He was also active in raising pigeons. 

He was a long-time member of Cold Springs Hunting Club and enjoyed fishing and was an avid hunter, hunting game throughout North America.

Interment will be held privately at the Dickinson Presbyterian Church Cemetery. He was an active member of the church for many years.

He is survived by his 3 daughters: Dianne Conaway of Newville; Betsy Jo Eberts-Koklhepp (Husband Peter) of Florida and Jane Eberts of Carlisle, his grandson Shane Conaway (wife Emily and great-granddaughter, Alexis of Kentucky as well as his nephew James Eberts (wife Vickie) of Bloserville.

Friends and relatives are invited to gather for his Memorial Service, followed by a light luncheon, on Saturday, November 2nd at 11:00 am at Dickinson Presbyterian Church, 12 Church Road, Carlisle, PA 17015.
