Dr. Anthony Lee Pfleger

Dr. Anthony Lee Pfleger, age 78, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at UPMC Carlisle. He was born May 23, 1945, in Long Island, NY to the late Frederick and Catherine (Sabarro) Pfleger.

Dr. Pfleger graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Dental School and went on to attend the University of Pittsburgh Orthodontics School. He served in the United States Army as a dentist in Germany during the Vietnam War. Dr. Pfleger enjoyed skiing, traveling, boating, and fishing. He was also an accomplished musician and enjoyed playing the piano, accordion, and guitar.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Judy I. Szatucka; sisters, Sr. Catherine Pfleger, RSM, of Rochester, NY and Rita Iona of Henderson, NV and brother Dennis Pfleger of Huntington, NY. Dr. Pfleger is also survived by his niece Loretta Iona and her husband Dwayne Feyma and great-niece Alex Feyma.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at the Holy Cross Cemetery, 626 Baily Road, Yeadon, PA 19050. Please enter cemetery at Bailey Road and meet family and friends at the family service’s building.
