Doris Elaine Miller

Doris Elaine Miller, age 86, of Carlisle, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2016 at her residence.
She was born June 1, 1930 in St. Paul, MN to the late John and Antoinette (Moryn) Napiwoski and was the widow of Richard J. Miller who preceded her in death on June 14, 2004.
Doris was a proud homemaker and military wife who served her family while her husband served our country. She was a previous Miss White Bear Lake and St. Paul Winter Carnival Beauty Princess, enjoyed gardening, singing opera, and enjoyed spending time with her "creatures."
She is survived by her children, Michael A. (and wife Peggy) Miller of Carlisle, Peter G. (and wife Cynthia) of Star, Idaho, Stephen G. (and wife Susan) Miller of Williamsburg, VA, Leslie A. (and husband Stephen) Perry of Stafford, VA, Andrea L. Miller of Yuba City, CA, Christopher J. (and wife Lori) Miller of New Richmond, WI; one brother, John Napiwoski of Minnesota; one foster brother, Louis (and wife Betty) Losinski of Woodbury, MN; fifteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, with one due in October! In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by many siblings and one grandchild, Joshua Michael Brumaghim Miller.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA. Burial will follow at Lower Tuscarora Presbyterian Cemetery in Academia, Juniata County. There will be no Public Viewing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church Building Fund or to the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation.
