Doris Ann Donne

It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Doris A. Donne. Born in 1927 in Forty-Fort Pennsylvania to Herbert Naylor and Elizabeth Degnan Naylor, she passed away on 12th of September, 2026 just shy of her anticipated 100th birthday this year.

Doris was predeceased by her husband, Paul M. Donne, as well as their three sons, Michael Donne, John Donne, and Thomas Donne. She is survived by her two daughters, Jane Donne and Barbara Donne Schulze as well as her 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the United States Cadet Nurse Corps in 1945 and received an RN (registered nurse) degree from Wilkes-Barre General Hospital School of Nursing in November 1948. She continued her nursing career throughout her lifetime. She enjoyed music, playing her piano at home and was a member of the Sweet Adelines choral group.

We remember her as a loving mother, a doting grandmother, and a remarkable woman who was devoted to her family. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate a life lived with love, curiosity , and kindness.

A private memorial for the family will be held after cremation.
