Donald Thompson

Donald Wesley Thompson (Wes) passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 27^th, 2024 at home.

He was born on June 27^th, 1955 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

In Wes’ earlier years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, the beach, and woodworking. He enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren. Wes was a well-rounded handyman. He worked as a construction manager for many years before retirement.

 Wes was fiercely loyal to the ones he loved and was well known for the heart of gold lying beneath his hardened exterior.

He is preceded in death by his father, Donald William Thompson. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 36 years, Colleen Thompson; his daughters, Megan Bookhammer (Shawn) and Erica Thompson (Brian); his son, Nick Thompson (Taylor); his grandchildren, Caleb, Alexis, and Wells; his sisters Cherroll Peters (Steve), Cecile Studebaker (Sam), Joyce Norton (Todd), Lori Jermalowicz (Brian), and Lucinda Klein (Hank).

Burial services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
