Dennis Wayne Hose

Dennis (Denny) Wayne Hose, 72, of Carlisle, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on August 19, 2026.

Born in Hagerstown, MD, on July 27, 1954, Dennis is the son of the late Billy E. Hose and Dorothy J. (Faulk) Hose.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of nearly 41 years, Trudy (Bower) Hose. He is also survived by his daughter, Margaret (Maggie) Livelsberger (Eric), grandchildren, Brooks, Lucille, and Islee, brothers, Steve Hose (Denise) and Ricky Hose (Debbie) and nephews, Brian Hose (Stacey), Keith Hose, and Jonathan Hose.

Dennis was a member of the Pennsylvania Elks Lodge #600 where he held various leadership positions. In addition, he was a lifelong Boy Scout and spent countless hours volunteering for the organization. He volunteered at the New Birth of Freedom Council, the Keystone Council, and the Mason Dixon/Shenandoah Council. When he wasn’t volunteering, Dennis enjoyed being out on the lake fishing at his Canadian vacation home. He enjoyed sports and was an avid Maryland Terrapins and Baltimore Ravens fan. Dennis was also a music lover and concert goer.

A visitation will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 11:00am-12:00pm, followed by a celebration of life at 12:00pm, at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W Trindle Rd, Carlisle, PA 17013.

In lieu of flowers, Denny would be honored to have memorial contributions go to his grandson’s Boy Scout Troop #168, Saint Patrick Church, 152 E. Pomfret Street, Carlisle, PA 17013, attn Dennis Hose Memorial, or the Pennsylvania Elks Legacy Trust Fund, PA Elks State Association, PO Box 1255, Somerset, PA 15501, attn Dennis Hose Memorial.
