Debra K. McClintock, 68, of Carlisle, died Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Hershey Medical Center.
Born in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late George and Betty (Clair) Spertzel and wife of the late William McClintock, who passed away in 2022.
Debra was a 1974 graduate of Bermudian Springs High School. She began her working career at Peter’s Orchard, where she was Manager of the fruit market. She then moved to Church of God Home in Carlisle where she worked for many years in the Housekeeping Department as well as serving as Laundry Supervisor.
She enjoyed doing cross-stitch, playing cards with her friends, going to lunch with the “Lunch Bunch,” and camping with friends. Debra was also a very active member of South Fairview First Church of God, Newville, where she was part of the council.
Survivors include her step-daughters: Kathy Thumma (David), of Carlisle, Brenda Baldwin (Douglas), of Biglerville; her sister: Sharon Lawrence (Steve), of New Oxford; her nephews: Nicholas Lawrence (fiancé: Alyson Reese), of Maryland, Alexander Lawrence, of Pittsburgh; her grandchildren: Bruce Baldwin (Sara), of Gettysburg, Brian Baldwin (Jennifer), of Gettysburg, Dr. Kate Baldwin (Thomas Crouse), of Biglerville, Joshua Thumma (fiancé: Caitlin Steinly), of Carlisle, Ashley Collins (Mitch), of Carlisle as well as her great grandchildren: Rebecca, Jacob, Lucas, Callen, Noah, Isaac and Abigail.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service 11:00 am Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, where Pastor Kevin Dunlap will officiate. The family will greet guests at 10:00 am prior to the service. Interment will be held in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Debra’s name may be made to South Fairview First Church of God, 1212 Centerville Road, Newville, PA 17241.
