David S. Wise

David S. “Dave” Wise, 79, of Carlisle, passed away October 3, 2026, at the UPMC Carlisle Hospital.

Born April 18, 1947, he is the son of the late Richard and Opal (Sechrist) Wise Sr. Dave is a graduate of Carlisle High School, class of 1967. He was employed at LB Smith as a machinist for many years before retiring.

Dave enjoyed gardening, tending to his flowers, spending time with his family, friends and his cats.

He is survived by; his wife, Bonita (Monismith) Wise, his children; Tiffney Trayer, Tony Wise and Shawn Wise and his wife Nancy. He is additionally survived by 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Per Dave’s wishes, there will be no funeral services.
