David L. Darr Sr.

David L. Darr Sr., 75, of Carlisle, passed away Friday August 22, 2025, at the Celebration Villa of Shippensburg.

Born January 6, 1950, he was the son of the late William A. Darr and Irene E. (Baker) Darr. In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his brothers; Wayne, Larry, Dale, Albert, Lee, Robert, Paul, Chester and Carl Darr, and his sister, Mary Kirkpatrick.

He is survived by his children; David Darr Jr. (Brandy), of Bloserville, James Darr of Boiling Springs, Daniel Darr of Carlisle and Nichole Keeseman (Fred) of Shippensburg and grandchildren; Cambree Darr, Zander Darr and Alexander Keeseman and siblings; Stephen Darr, Jean King and Betty Crain.

David was a laborer throughout his lifetime and was most recently employed by Giant Distribution. He was a member of Carlisle Aerie #1299 Fraternal Order of Eagles and Williams Grove Historical Steam Engine Association. He also enjoyed participating in the local car shows throughout the years.

Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 12pm Friday, August 29, 2025, at Hoffman Funeral Home, 2020 W. Trindle Rd. Carlisle, PA 17013. There will be a viewing from 11am until the time of the service. Interment will immediately follow the service at Mt. Zion Cemetery, 1369 Boiling Springs Rd, Boiling Springs, PA 17007.
