Chase Christopher Dagen

Feb 8, 2008 — Sep 29, 2026

Chase C. Dagen, 18, of Boiling Springs, passed away unexpectedly on September 29, 2026, as the result of a motorcycle accident.

Born February 8, 2008, Chase was the beloved son of Jonathan and Danielle (Peabody) Dagen, who survive him. He was a 2026 graduate of Boiling Springs High School and was continuing his education at Shippensburg University, where he was studying Mechanical Engineering. Chase was also employed as a server and grill cook at Cracker Barrel in Carlisle.

Chase had a natural ability to figure things out and loved putting things together. He had a passion for cars and motorcycles and could often be found working on something, taking it apart, putting it back together, or finding a way to make it work. He was the one his family and friends could always count on—the go-to person whenever something needed to be fixed, worked on, or figured out. He found genuine enjoyment in using his hands and his mind to solve problems and make things work.

Chase also loved football and especially enjoyed playing during his senior year of high school. He made many lasting friendships throughout his life, and his many friends will miss him dearly. He had a way of making connections with people and leaving an impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Those who knew Chase will remember him most for the person he was. He was humble, lovable, and pure of heart. He genuinely wanted the best for everyone around him and cared deeply about the people he loved. He never needed to be the center of attention; his quiet, genuine nature spoke for itself. Chase had so much life ahead of him, and his family and friends will forever treasure the time they were blessed to have with him.

In addition to his parents, Chase is survived by his siblings, Brynley and Jax Dagen; his girlfriend, Lilly Hedrick; his aunts and uncles, Heather Shank (Nicholas), Brooke Brehm (Eric), and Heidi Dagen; his grandparents, Chris and Lisa Peabody and Dr. J. Edward Dagen; and his cousins, Collin (Peyton) Diehl and their son, Lucas, Evan Diehl, Isabella Shank, and Brayden Shank.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Linda Dagen.

Chase's family will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Though his life was far too short, the love he gave, the friendships he made, and the many lives he touched will never be forgotten. His family takes comfort in knowing that the qualities that made Chase so special—his kindness, humility, willingness to help others, and genuine love for the people in his life—will live on in all who knew him.
