Carol Lee George

Carol Lee George, 82, of Carlisle, died Friday, May 10, 2024 at UPMC Carlisle.

She was born February 20, 1942, in Washington, D.C., daughter of the late Margaret C. Flint of Arlington, VA.

Carol graduated from Mechanicsburg High School, class of 1960, was a member of the First Church of the Brethren, Carlisle and a long-time employee of the Sentinel newspaper.

Wife of the late Galen E. George and mother of the late John G. George, she is survived by two sisters: Susan Flint, of Carlisle and Kelly Flint, of Barrowden, England, sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and Eldon Myers as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held at 12 pm Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, where Pastor Doug Miller will be officiating. A visitation will be held from 11 to 12 pm. Interment will be held privately.
