Bruce George Rosendale of Carlisle died peacefully at home on June 9, 2025.
Bruce was born in Mechanicsburg on February 2, 1951 to Walter G. and Mary L. Rosendale. He graduated from Cumberland Valley High School, Class of 1969 and Penn State University, where he graduated in 1973. After a year as a teacher at East Pennsboro High School, he returned to Penn State and earned a Masters Degree in Urban and Regional Planning.
Bruce was employed in various roles in a 45-year career at R.S. Mowery and Sons, retiring as executive vice president in 2024. He was well known for his expertise in large-scale construction projects, specifically distribution centers, health care, and auto dealerships. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and Penn State sports. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and zest for life.
He is survived by his wife Patricia, their two children Kristen Rosendale of Mechanicsburg and Ryan Rosendale of Spring Mills, his beloved grandchildren Campbell Rosendale and Wren Rosendale, his brother Wayne and his wife Patricia, and many cousins and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on June 20 at 11:00AM at Hoffman Funeral and Cremation, located at 2020 W. Trindle Rd., Carlisle PA 17013. The family will greet guests beginning one hour prior to the service.
