Betty Jane Kitner, 94, of Carlisle passed away on October 1st, 2024. Betty was born on July 8th, 1930, in Mechanicsburg, PA.
She is preceded in death by her Husband, Vance Leon Kitner Sr. and her son, Vance Leon Kitner Jr. Betty is survived by her children, Louise Kitner (Dale Owings), Leon Vance Kitner (Ruth), and Shirley Hockenberry (Kim), as well as her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Betty worked for the Book of the Month Club for over 40 years. She enjoyed camping, fishing, shopping, gardening, cooking, and canning.
A public viewing will take place on Monday, October 14th, 2024, from 10 A.M.- 11 A.M at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Rd, Carlisle, PA 17013. Interment will be at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, 1921 Ritner Hwy, Carlisle, PA 17013, with a graveside service directly following the viewing.
