Audrey Maxine Bishop

Audrey Maxine Bishop, 89, of Carlisle, died Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Artis Senior Living in Lemoyne, PA.

Born in South Middleton Township, Cumberland County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Christina (Ellerman) Lebo and the wife of 63 years to the late Paul Bishop, who passed away in October of 2023.

Maxine loved gardening, shopping and she enjoyed talking with anyone. She was a devoted member of the former Grace United Methodist Church (now a part of Carlisle United Methodist Church). Maxine will be most remembered for her love for her family and friends as well as her amazing strength to push through any challenge.

Survivors include her daughter: Kerry Holmes and her son-in-law, Robert Holmes, of Camp Hill; her grandchildren: Michaela Heshler, of Harrisburg, Nick Miller of Harrisburg and Caden Holmes of Camp Hill.

Maxine was preceded in death by her daughter: Beth Miller and her nine brothers and sisters.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2026 at Carlisle United Methodist Church, 333 S. Spring Garden Street, Carlisle, where the family will greet guests after 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be held privately.
