Arthur L. Shields, Sr.

Arthur L. Shields, Sr., 93, of Newville, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Penn State Health Holy Spirit Hospital.

Born in Lurgan Township, he was the son of the late George Nelson and Lauretta (Yohe) Shields.

Arthur worked for Valk Manufacturing for over 47 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and dog.

He is survived by his sons: Robert, Daniel and Arthur, Jr.; his daughters: Kathy and Laurie and his brothers: Ronald and Richard Shields.

Arthur was preceded in death by his wife: Emma Jane (Johnson) Shields, who passed away in 2014; his son: Arthur Lee Shields (1954), his daughter: Kimberly (1961) as well as his brother: William Shields.

Services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
