Arthur J. Bierce

Arthur James Bierce, 71, of Carlisle, died Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at his residence.

Born in Poughkeepsie, NY, he was the son of the late Amos and Madeline (Berkman) Bierce and the husband of 28 years to Lora (Hazel) Bierce.

In addition to his wife, Arthur is survived by his daughter: Rachel Bierce, her significant other, Richard Lutz, III as well as his grandson: Richard Lutz, IV.

He was preceded in death by his sister: Anna Marie Yacino.

Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 3, 2025 at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, where Rev. Chris Dolan will be officiating. The family will receive guests after 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be held privately.
