Anna M. Thumma

Anna M. Thumma, age 97, went to be with her Lord and Savior at her home on February 6, 2026.

Born on August 10, 1928, in Carlisle, PA, she was the daughter of the late Zoura and Ruth (Kreider) Baum.

Surviving Anna is her son, Lester Thumma Jr. (Linda), son David Thumma, and daughter Carol Wilson (Rick). Anna cherished her role as a grandmother to Lisa Woodword (Eric); Julie Peterson (Rob) and Josh Thumma; great-grandchildren, Britney (Mason), Kayla, Ryan and Mason, as well as her great-great-grandchildren Mathias and Zander. Additionally surviving is her sister, Beulah Lippert, and her brother, Marlin Baum. Anna was predeceased by her husband, Lester M. Thumma Sr., nine siblings and a grandson, Bradley.

Anna enjoyed gardening and canning produce and in earlier years, camping and traveling with her husband.

A funeral service for Anna will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 11am at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Rd. Carlisle, PA 17013 with a viewing beginning at 10am until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
