Anna Faye Hoover, 97, formerly of Carlisle, PA, died Friday, October 9, 2026, at Country Meadows in Mechanicsburg, PA.
She was born November 18, 1928, in Harrisburg, PA, a daughter of Morris and Anna Grace Hoffman. She was the widow of Emerson Hoover. She was a member of Carlisle First Church of God, a 50-year member and Past Matron of Old Bellaire Chapter #375, Past District Deputy and Past Grand Officer of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a Past Worthy High Priestess and Past Watchman of Shepherds of the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem and a member of Ozemb Temple, Daughters of the Nile. She and her late husband owned and operated Hoover’s Candies at the Carlisle Farmers’ Market for many years.
Surviving are three daughters, Diana L. Bridges of Enola, Debra A. Behm and her husband, Kevin, of South Burlington, VT, and Darla K. Hoover of New York, NY; two grandchildren, Heather B. Moshier and her husband, Jason, of Harrisburg, and Trevor G. Felixbrod and his wife, Ariana Czernobil, of Carlisle; and one great-granddaughter, Lydia M. Moshier.
Services will be held on October 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Hoffman Funeral Home, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA 17013. Burial will be at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
