Ada I. Sheriff

Ada I. Sheriff, 83, of Carlisle, died Saturday, October 22, 2011 at the Church of God Home , Carlisle,
Born September 19, 1928 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late John Emanuel and Jennie Rebecca Worley Gusler and the widower of Wayne B. Sheriff, Sr.
She retired as an employee of F. W. Woolworth. Ada was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Carlisle and the VFW Post #477, Carlisle.
Surviving are three sons, Wayne B. “Butchâ€Â Sheriff of Florida, Dennis R. Sheriff (and wife, Cathy) of Carlisle and Larry L. Sheriff of Carlisle, one sister, Janet Long, Camp Hill, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Grace Swartz, Pearl May, Betty Hooper, and Mary E. Witmer and one brother, Harry Gusler.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle followed by a burial in Letort Cemetery, Carlisle.
