William J. Mcgowan

William J. McGowan, 50, of Newville, PA passed away Friday October 1, 2021 in UPMC West Shore Hospital.

He was born on August 23, 1971 in Carlisle, PA.

William is survived by his wife Julie A. McGowan and step-son Caleb J. Barrick.

He was a graduate of Carlisle High School class of 1989. He was employed at Galbraith Pre-Design in Carlisle for many years.

In addition to his wife and step-son, he is survived by his parents Elenora McGowan of Carlisle and James McGowan of WV. His sister Wendy Beecher of PA, brother Scott and his wife Deb McGowan also of PA. His sister Mitzi McGowan and her husband Jim Ewing of DE. His nieces and nephews Zach Cassell and his fiancé Brooklyn Hamner, Jordan McGowan, Breanne Beecher and life partner Robbie Wolford, Danielle McGowan and Andrew Beecher, along with great nieces and nephews. Along with many amazing friends.

He was preceded in death by his son Benjamin McGowan.

Services will be held October 16, 2021 at 10am followed by a luncheon at the Doubling Gap Church of God, Newville. The interment service will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society (lls.org). Arrangements are being handled by the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
