William J. "Bill" Myers

William J. “Bill” Myers 72 of Carlisle, died Wednesday, January 30, 2019 in the UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle Hospital.

He was born in Carlisle, PA on October 31, 1946 to the late Samuel and Ruth Zingner Myers.

Bill was the former owner of the Carlisle Telephone Sales and Service and had been a former delivery driver for Lowes of Carlisle. He was a graduate of Big Spring High School. Bill honorably served his country with the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam Conflict. He was very active with the “Toy for Tots” Program and the Marine Corp. League of Carlisle. He was a member of VFW Post #477, Amvets Post #274 and American Legion Post #23 all of Carlisle, PA. Bill was very fond of his Bull Dogs.

He is survived by his son Matthew E. Myers and his wife Tonya Curnell and their children Chloe and Faith of Enola. Four sisters, Alberta Bowermaster of Centerville, Sandra Foose of Camp Hill, Mary Myers of Carlisle and Sharon Wilt of Chambersburg, PA. He was preceded in death by a brother Donald Myers.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 8, 2019 at 11:00AM at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA. There will be a visitation on Friday from 10:00AM until time of services. Interment with military honors will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
