William (Bill) Dudley Thorne

William "Bill" Dudley Thorne, 81, of Carlisle died Friday, September 12, 2014 at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born January 29, 1933 in Carlisle he was a son of the late Dudley Courtney and Dorothy Stoner Thorne.
Bill was a retired self-employed tow truck operator. He enjoyed working on old used lawn mowers and fishing. He enjoyed the time he spent with his loving companion, Ruby and her son, Michael.
Surviving are his companion, Ruby J. Garland of Carlisle; two brothers, Edward Allen Thorne of Carlisle and Lester Courtney Thorne of Colorado; three sisters: Doris Louise Garland of Carlisle, Judy Baker of Bloserville, and Susan Jane Thorne of Shippensburg; one step-son, Michael L. Garland of Carlisle. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Clarence and Ronald Thorne.
Graveside services will be held Friday, September 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Opossum Hill Cemetery, 601 Opossum Lake Rd., Carlisle.
