Wayne Darrell Mitchell

Wayne Darrell Mitchell, age 24, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2016.
He was born in Carlisle on November 29, 1991 to the late Wayne Darrell Hardy and Carol L. Mitchell Hockenberry of Carlisle.
Wayne graduated from Big Spring High School and was a cook at Redd's Restaurant in Carlisle. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He truly loved spending time working on cars with his Uncle Barry and his late father.
He is survived by his mother, Carol L. (and husband Samuel) Hockenberry of Carlisle; a brother, Tyler Hardy of Carlisle; two half-brothers, Dakota Hockenberry of Carlisle and Jordan Hockenberry of Loysville; three half-sisters, Bryana Hockenberry of Carlisle, AdaRose Hockenberry Brown of McCoysville, PA and Alyssa Hardy of New Oxford, PA; grandmother, Linda L. Jacoby of Carlisle; grandfather, Richard Mitchell of Newville; grandparents, Randy and Vonnie Russell of Elkton, MD; grandparents, Darrell and Susan Hardy of New Oxford; an aunt, Tryann Aughenbaugh; and an uncle, Mike Mitchell. Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Darrell Hardy; step-grandfather, Ralph Jacoby; and aunt, Desirae Annette Russell.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Dana Blouch-Hanson officiating. Burial will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Newville. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services.
