Walter S. Barrick, 85, of Carlisle, died Monday, May 6, 2013 at the Church of God Home, Carlisle.
Born May 16, 1927 in Upper Frankford Township, he was a son of the late Walter J. and Pearl Kramer Barrick.
He was a member of St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newville; two bowling leagues, St. Peters Church League and Texas Eastern Pipeline League. He loved hunting and fishing and playing cards.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Josephine Barrick of Carlisle; two daughters, Susan E. Stott (and husband, Daniel W.) of Carlisle and Lorilee A. Geisweidt (and husband, Dale R.) of LaPlata, MD; and one granddaughter, Alyssa M. Geisweidt. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Martha Markley, Mildred Barrick, Louella McGarvey, and Valeria Barrick.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 10, 2013 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Dona Cummings officiating. Burial will be in St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, 210 Brick Church Road, Newville. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday and also from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
