Virgina M. Holsinger

Virginia M. Holsinger, age 88, of Carlisle and formerly of the Village of Morrison’s Cove, PA passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Cumberland Crossings Retirement Village.
She was born November 9, 1928 in Cherokee, IA to the late Clyde G. and Irene (O’Brien) Minor and was the widow of Glenn P. Holsinger of passed March 9, 2015.
Virginia graduated from Huntingdon Area High School and the Pronto Beauty School, Altoona and was a former stylist at the LaFlaire Salon in Huntingdon. She was a former member of the Church of the Brethren, Martinsburg, PA. Virginia enjoyed needlepoint and spending time with her family.
She is survived by: two sons, Gregory C. (and wife Rosemary) Holsinger of Carlisle and Dennis P. (and wife Diana) Holsinger of Shelocta, PA; a brother, Lowell Minor of MD; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by a son, Brian L. Holsinger.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family in the Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon, PA.
