Verna M. Mcninch

Verna M. McNinch, 92, of Carlisle, formerly of Seaside, CA, died Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Manor Care Health Services.
She was born in Portland, Maine on September 24, 1922 to the late Harlan L. and Dora R. Ross Leighton and was the widow of Andrew A. McNinch.
Verna was a homemaker who devoted her life to her family. She attended Opossum Hill Union Church. She attended Messiah Daycare and the VNA Adult Daycare in Monterey, CA. Verna had lived in Seaside, CA for 54 years prior to moving to Carlisle, PA.
She is survived by four daughters, Leslie M. McNinch of Carlisle, Diane J. (and husband Larry) Snyder of Carlisle, Melissa A. (and husband Bobby) Walker of Fresno, CA, and Jennifer S. McNinch of Newberry Park, CA; one grandson, Marcus Clewis of Folsom, CA; and a great-granddaughter, Chardonay Clewis of Seaside, CA. She was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Cordiner, a daughter, Andrea L. Jones and a son, Carl S. McNinch.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2015 at Opossum Hill Union Church, 601 Opossum Lake Road, Carlisle with Rev. Randall Zook officiating. There will be a visitation at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
