Veda Manganaro

Veda Manganaro, age 103, of Carlisle, PA passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at her residence.
She was born December 5, 1912 in Omaha, Nebraska to the late Salvatore and Marianna Vacirca Manganaro.
Veda was a sales clerk at the former J. L. Brandeis & Sons department store in Omaha, NE and retired from there after 60 years of service. She was a member of St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church of Omaha and a member of the St. Francis Cabrini Sodality. She loved gardening and enjoyed spending time visiting with friends and family.
She is survived by her niece, Antoinette M. "Toni" (and husband John) Creason of Carlisle, with whom she resided; two great-nieces; two great-nephews; In addition to her parents, Veda was preceded in death by her brother, Carl Manganaro and her sister, Theresa Manganaro Caniglia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church, 10th & Williams Streets, Omaha, NE with the Rev. Danan Zuelein officiating. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Omaha, NE.
