Thelma June Lesher Davids, 89 of Carlisle and a resident of Cumberland Crossings Retirement Community, Carlisle, died Saturday January 1, 2011 in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born January 8, 1921 in Shippensburg, the daughter of the late Carl H. and Lucy E. Henry Kitzmiller and the widow of Harold A. Lesher and John T. Davids.
She was a 1942 graduate of Newville High School. Thelma retired from the former Cumberland County Nursing Home, where she worked in the kitchen. She was a member of First United Church of Christ and the Golden Age Club, both of Carlisle.
Surviving are a sister, Arla Hunter, Mechanicsburg, four nephews, Hale Kitzmiller and his wife Susan, Carlisle, Bennett Felix Jr. and his wife Deb, Newville, Allen Felix and his wife Barb, Shippensburg and Jeffery Ritter, Boiling Springs, four nieces, Carol Shriner and her husband Eric, Newville, Julie Felix, Lemoyne, Diane Adams, Mechanicsburg and Alane Fagan and her husband, Joseph, Camp Hill. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bennett Felix, a sister-in-law, Laree Felix and a niece, Cindy Ritter.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday in the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with the Rev. Lynn R. Schultz officiating. Burial will be in the Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. There will be a viewing from 10:00 am Thursday until the time of the service in the funeral home.
