Terry J. Shawver

Terry J. Shawver, age 70, of Carlisle, passed away Friday, August 11, 2017 at his residence.
He was born July 19, 1947 in Lewistown, PA to Hazel (Erb) Shawver of Belleville, PA and the late Jay Shawver.
Terry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He formerly worked at Brillion before retiring from Landoll as a Territory Sales Manager in 2016. He loved motorcycles (especially Harleys), softball and gardening. In his youth, he was an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed Penn State sports, especially football, and the Pittsburgh Pirates, Penguins and Steelers.
In addition to his mother, Terry is survived by: his wife, Marlene E. (Haines) Shawver; a daughter, Bobbie J. (husband Timothy) Shawver-Grim; two grandchildren, Tyler J. Grim and Macey E. Shawver; two brothers, Darwin (wife Shirley) Shawver and Richard (wife Diana) Shawver; and a sister, Jaylene Sunderland.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA with Chaplain Alan Echard officiating. There will be a viewing from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 14, 2017 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA.
