Shelby Adams

Shelby Adams, age 73, of Hanover, passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 at her residence.
She was born February 25, 1943 in Carlisle to the late Ray Charles and Violet Mae (Nicholson) Adams and was the widow of George W. Adams, Jr. who passed March 10, 2009.
Shelby was the prior owner/operator of the Broiler Restaurant and was an active member of the F.O.E. Aerie 1299 Ladies Auxiliary where she was also a past President. Shelby was a member of the Hanover Brethren in Christ Church. She had enjoyed bowling in several leagues over the years and loved to cook for family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Brian (and wife Jane) Casale of Hanover, Tony (and wife Lisa) Casale of Littlestown and Eric (and wife Susan) Casale of Carlisle; step-daughter, Tammy (and husband Tony) Klusman of Carlisle; sisters, Phyllis (and husband Charles) Holloway, Harriett (and husband Jerry) Durham and Alechia Jenkins, all of Carlisle; brothers, Harold (and wife Alice) Hoover of Youngstown, OH, Paul (and companion Michelle) Hoover of Carlisle and Alvin Hoover of Glen Burnie, MD; and eight grandchildren, Drew Casale, Josh Ryan, Kaegan Ryan, Ana Casale, Daimon Casale, Torin Casale, Kaitlyn Klusman and Jared Klusman. In addition to her parents and husband, Shelby was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Adams and a nephew, Ray Charles Holloway.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Shelby's son, Pastor Brian Casale officiating. Burial will follow at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. There will be a viewing from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2016 at the funeral home.
