Ruth E. Bloser, 93, died on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Chapel Pointe, Carlisle.
Born August, 23, 1918 in Carlisle, the daughter of Guy and Miriam Lau Boyd and the widow of M. Deemer Bloser, who died in 1967.
She was most recently employed at Barbara Bistline Financial Services. Barb was a good friend and will miss Ruth. Ruth was well loved and cared for by the staff at Chapel Pointe.
Ruth was a member of the Carlisle Brethren in Christ Church. She was previously employed by the former Commonwealth National Bank and CH Masland and Sons and ran her own beauty salon.
She is survived by her sister Maurita Diller, sister-in-law Ethel Boyd, brother-in-law Marlin Bloser and nieces and nephews Judy Kronheim (wife of Bruce), Cindy Van Cleave (wife of Mark), Ken Diller, Mike Boyd (husband of Michelle) and Gary Boyd (husband of Christine). She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt Ruth. Ruth will also be missed by her former next door neighbors and good friends John, Arlene, and Amanda (Cummings) Jennings.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Creedon Boyd.
Ruth’s funeral service will be held on 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Kenneth Hoke officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at the funeral home.
