Rosalie "Rodie" Israel

Rosalie "Rodie" Israel, age 77, of Carlisle, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016 at her residence.
She was born March 5, 1939 in Carroll Township, Perry County to the late Porter Lee and Sylvia Lorraine (Clegg) Owings.
Rodie is survived by two daughters, Tammy (and husband Gary) Herr of New Cumberland and Tracy Highlands of Newville; a sister, Betty Owings of Shermans Dale; three brothers, Gerald (and wife Betty) Owings, David (and wife Ann) Owings and Dale (and wife Louise) Owings; seven grandchildren, Dustin, Tara, Sheena, Jesse, Amber, Alyssa and Michael; and three great-grandchildren, Avery, Hayden and Elijah. In addition to her parents, Rosalie was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Kennedy.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Chaplain Arlene Dunn officiating. Burial will follow at Letort Cemetery. There will be a viewing on Thursday at the funeral home from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the services.
