Ronald M. Boyer, 76, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, while on vacation with his family in Wildwood Crest, NJ.
He was born June 7, 1945, in Ashland, PA to the late Maurice and Margaret (Bodman) Boyer.
Ron honorably served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration at the College of New Jersey. Ron worked as a systems analyst for UNIVAC and Naval Air Warfare Center in Warminster, PA until his retirement in 1996. He loved his family and was always happy to be spending time with them. Ron enjoyed traveling with his wife, watching westerns, and watching Penn State and Philadelphia Eagles football games.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Laura A. Boyer of Carlisle; two children, Heather Boyer of Loysville and Keith Boyer of Carlisle; two grandchildren, Joshua Maurer of Harrisburg and Chloe Maurer of Shippensburg; one great-grandson, Karter Rhoads; and his sister, Shirley Smith of Brooksville, FL.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, October 11, 2021, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
