Romayne F. Bretz

Romayne F. Bretz, 89, of Carlisle, died Friday, April 15, 2011 at the Church of God Home, Carlisle.
Born November 7, 1921 in Harrington, DE, she was a daughter of the late Millard and Romayne Marsh Fitzgerald and the widow of Charles G. Bretz.
She was a graduate of Shippensburg High School and the Carlisle Commercial College. She was employed as a bookkeeper by James Wilson Hotel and then for thirteen years as a clerk for Bon-Ton. Romayne was a member of the Brethren in Christ Church, Carlisle.
Surviving are one son, Charles L. Bretz (and wife, Carol) of Carlisle, two daughters, Linda Crum (and husband, Ed) of Carlisle and Kathy Bretz of Ocala, FL, one sister, Ruth Garman of Carlisle and one brother, Robert Fitzgerald of Annapolis, MD, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Leah Bickle and Marie Lindenmuth.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2011 in the Chapel at Church of God Home, 801 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Bradley Moore and Rev. Linda Lambert officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, April 18, 2011 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle and also from 10:00 until the time of the service on Tuesday.
