Robert M. Hirschhorn

Robert M. Hirschhorn, 77, of Carlisle, formerly from Norristown, Pa., died Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Community General Hospital, Harrisburg, Pa.
Born July 11, 1936 in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a son of the late Nathan and Judithe Belber Hirschhorn.
Bob was a fine art photographer and poet, passionate about his art and participated in art shows in the Mid-Atlantic region. After high school, he served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy. Bob was a man of strong faith who actively attended Carlisle Brethren in Christ Church.
Bob is survived by his wife of 45 years, Leona (Tidwell) Hirschhorn, a son, Matthew Hirschhorn and his wife, Tracy, a daughter, Judithe Dunkle and her husband, Scott and grandsons Joshua and Christopher Dunkle, a brother, Wm. Hirschhorn and his wife, Georgia and a sister, Sharon Hirschhorn.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 11, 2014 in the Carlisle Brethren in Christ Church, 1155 Walnut Bottom Rd., Carlisle. Burial will be in the Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill, Pa. Friends will be received from 9:30-11:00 AM Tuesday.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home and Crematory, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle is handling the services.
