Robert James Cook, Sr., 86, of Carlisle, died Monday, June 27, 2011 at the Thornwald Home, Carlisle.
Born October 15, 1924 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late John and Pearl Casey Cook and with widower of Arlene Shrawder Cook.
He owned and operated Kitner and Cook Appliances, Inc. for 45 years. Robert was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Carlisle and a member of Elks BPO Lodge #578, Carlisle. He was a USS Air Force veteran, who served during WWII.
Surviving is his son, Robert J. Cook, Jr. (and wife Karen) of Carlisle. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lois Kelley.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 1, 2011 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m., until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
