Robert E. Durham

Robert E. “Bobâ€Â Durham Sr., 66, of Shermans Dale, died Saturday October 6, 2012 at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born September 2, 1946 in Carlisle, he was the son of Kathryn Brownawell Durham and the late Earl Durham.
Bob retired from the former LEAR after 44 years of employment. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local #835. Robert enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He loved country and bluegrass music and watching local races.
Bob is survived by his wife of 44 years, Joyce Durham of Carlisle, a son, Robert Durham Jr. and his wife Laurie, Carlisle, a daughter, Tammy Kitner and her husband Mark, Dillsburg, a step-sister, Dolly Yinger and her husband Ted, of Newville, a step-brother, Earl Durham, Jr. and his wife Harriett, Carlisle, three grandchildren, Ashley Kirkland and her husband Dawson, Stephanie Kitner and John Kitner, all of Dillsburg, three great-grandchildren, Jasmine and Justus Kirkland and Juliet Eshleman.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm, Friday, October 12, 2012 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Pastor Mike Hammer officiating. Burial will be in Waggoner’s United Methodist Church Cemetery, Carlisle. There will be a viewing from 10:00 a.m. Friday, until the time of the service in the funeral home.
