Robert Allen Prater

Robert Allen Prater, 78 of Mechanicsburg, PA, and formerly of Summersville, W.V. died on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the Gettysburg Care Center, Gettysburg, PA. He was born on January 31, 1941 in Fayette County, W.V. to the late Morgan and Irene Hawkins Prater and was the widower of Judith Cummings Prater.
Robert retired as a machinist from the Standard Hydraulics Company in Craigsville, W.V. He was a member of the Congregation of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Robert had an extreme love for horses.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Melinda C. Hinkle and (husband Walter) of Mechanicsburg, PA., a brother Richard Prater of W.V. Robert was preceded by a daughter, Michelle Prater.
