Richard W. Laughman, age 72, of Carlisle, PA died on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 of natural causes at his home. He was born in Carlisle, PA on July 24, 1948 to the late Harry Allen and Myrtle Bayer Laughman.
Dick retired from the security department at Sysco. He was a graduate of the Big Spring High School Class of 1966 and honorably served his country in the US Army and the Army National Guard. He was a big Notre Dame and Green Bay Packers Fan. Dick enjoyed coaching youth football and baseball and teams that his son would play for.
He is survived by his son, Keith R. Laughman (wife Ali) of New Cumberland and their two daughters, Addilyn and Ashtyn, two brothers, Harry Laughman of Carlisle, Gerald Laughman of Perry County and three sisters, Sylvia Brandt of Newburg, Mary Lou Shumaker and Nancy Mummau both of Carlisle and many nieces and nephews. Dick was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and George Laughman and his sister Kathleen Walters.
Services and burial will be private in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. There will not be a viewing or visitation.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Dick’s name may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, 1117 Country Club Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Rd. Carlisle, PA 17013.
