Richard Valk

Richard Paul Valk, 79, of Carlisle, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 in Boynton Beach, FL.
Born March 27, 1932 in Weehawken, NJ, he was the son of the late Paul and Jennie Valk.
Richard was Past President, C.E.O., and Chairman of the Board for Valk Manufacturing Company, Carlisle. Richard and his father, Paul founded Valk Manufacturing Company in 1954. He was a member of St. John’s Masonic Lodge # 260, Carlisle; Past Board Member of Dauphin Deposit Bank, Carlisle; Past Commodore of Del Ray Beach Yacht Club, FL; and a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Boynton Beach, FL.
Surviving are his wife, Judy Valk of Boynton Beach, FL; three sons, Richard A. Valk of Mechanicsburg, Ted P. Valk of Camp Hill, and Randall Valk of Boiling Springs; two step-children, Steve Brannon and Tammie Smart; two grandchildren, Cameron P. Valk and L. Mackenzie Valk; and two step-grandchildren, Jessica Smart and Kyle Brannon.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 13, 2012 at Allison United Methodist Church, 99 Mooreland Avenue, Carlisle with Rev. John L. Shellenberger, Jr. officiating. And there will be a private burial held at the convenience of the family.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle is responsible for the funeral arrangements.
