Richard (Rick) Dennis Lindsey, 53, of Carlisle, died Thursday, August 22, 2013 at his home.
Born August 29, 1959 in Carlisle, he was a son of Charles Mervin and Elinor Yeingst Lindsey.
He was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School and a graduate of Harrisburg Area Community College. Rick was an astronomy/physics technician with Dickinson College and previously worked at G.S. Electric in Carlisle. Richard liked camping and kayaking and was also a lifetime HOG member (Harley Owners Group). He loved the ocean and going to the Outer Banks, NC and also the Florida Keys. He also loved to garden in his backyard.
Surviving are his wife of nine years, Vonnie L. Lindsey of Carlisle; one son, Riclon Lindsey of Shippensburg; one step-son, Jason L. Hosler of Florida; two grandchildren, Brayden and Chase; and one sister, Patricia Ann Enck (and husband, Douglas) of Mechanicsburg.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating.
