Richard Marcum

October 25, 1946 — May 15, 2023

Richard Marcum, of Carlisle, died Monday, May 15, 2023, at his residence. He was 76 years old and the husband of 52 years to Rochelle (Pe Benito) Marcum.

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was the son of the late James and Georgia (Shake) Marcum.

Richard worked as a business analyst, most recently for Flowers Foods, owner of TastyKake.

Very active in his church, Vibrant A Christian Church, Mechanicsburg, he was a Godly man who served as an Elder and helped with the youth group.

In addition to his wife, Richard is survived his daughter: Rochelle (Ruben) Saldana; his son: Richard (Mindy) Marcum; his daughter: Rebecca (Eric) Barr; his nine grandchildren: Micaiah, Malia, Maya, Madelyn, Matthias, Mylan, Ricky, Ian and Elijah; his sister: Carmella Willets as well as his sister-in-law: Sonya Marcum.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother: James R. Marcum and his sister: Mary Beth Hardy.

Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service 4 PM Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Vibrant A Christian Church, 1775 Lambs Gap Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050, where the family will greet guests after 3 PM prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Richard’s name may be made to: Vibrant A Christian Church Youth Group, at the address above.
