Richard J. Hamilla

Richard J. Hamilla, 59, of Carlisle passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle.

Born on September 9, 1960 in Lewisburg, PA, he was the son of Paul Hamilla, Sr. and the late Antonia (Shumar) Hamilla.

Rich was employed by ABF Freight. He was a member of the Sons of Italy in Perryopolis, PA and Teamsters Local 776. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and auto racing and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters.

Rich is survived by his father, Paul Hamilla, Sr.; his loving wife of 37 years, Amy (Roadcap) Hamilla; sons, Brian and Daniel Hamilla, both of Carlisle; granddaughters, August and Savana Hamilla; brother, John Hamilla; godmother, Dolores Logoyda; uncle, Ted Hamilla; aunt, Brenda Holler; many nieces, nephews, cousins and his very close and loving extended family. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Hamilla, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 12:00 noon at Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service.
