Richard G. Myers Sr.

Richard G. Myers Sr., age 78, of Carlisle, died Monday December 9, 2019 at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born February 22, 1941 in Carlisle, son of the late John and Violet Mayberry Myers. Richard was a self-employed painter, a member of the F. O. E. #1299, he loved bowling and his great grandchildren and was a great pool player in his younger years. His favorite pastime was sitting on the bench at Walmart, just watching people.
He is survived by his daughter Tana Cassell and husband, Jacob, Carlisle, son Richard G. Myers Jr., Florida, grandchildren, April Morrison and husband, Kalaci, Harrisburg, Christopher Geib, Carlisle and Cristina Reed and husband, Douglas Jr., Carlisle. He is also survived by great-grandchildren Collin, Landon, Dekota, Kaeleb, Brent, Mya, Kassidy and Christian, brother, Thomas Myers and wife, Joanne, Carlisle and sisters, Alice Rhoads, Florida and Donna Atwood and husband, Roger, Carlisle.
Richard is preceded in death by his wife, Esther Railing Myers, brothers, Floyd, Fred, John, Robert, Rick and Charles and sisters, Shirley, Marge and Violet.
Memorial service will be held Monday December 16, 2019 at 2:00pm at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
